WILLIAMSVILLE, NY (July 7, 2021) – The Williamsville Village Board on July 6 established a new volunteer panel – the Meeting House Events Committee. As such, the village is seeking volunteers to serve on the new committee.
As a delegation of village government, the panel’s role is to work cooperatively with the committee’s director, who will conduct the planning and managing of public events and activities to be held at the Meeting House, 5658 Main St. Such public events at the Meeting House could include theater productions, concerts, seminars and comedy shows, as well as private bookings such as weddings.
Volunteer responsibilities also include being present at regular MHEC meetings to contribute to the committee’s mission, as well assisting during public Meeting House events.
Anyone interested in volunteering to be a member of the MHEC should visit www.WalkableWilliamsville and click the blue box at the top of the homepage labeled “Become a Village Volunteer.” Upon clicking the box, users will be transported to the online volunteer application.
All interested volunteers must submit completed applications, which will be reviewed by village officials and the Village Board. Residency in the Village of Williamsville is not a requirement to be a member of the committee.
