The Town of Amherst held a memorial service yesterday to honor the victims of 9/11/2001. The ceremony was held in the Amherst Memorial Hill Grove on Ellicott Creek Trailway. Photos of the event, as well as the memorial flag installation outside of the library, serve as a reminder of the 23rd anniversary of the terror attacks on our country. We will never forget the ultimate sacrifice made by so many service members and first responders, as well as the countless civilian lives lost as a result of this unthinkable tragedy.
