Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) Runway Construction

The Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA) has begun full closure of the main runway for construction. This is expected to last through the months of August and September, transitioning to nightly closures through October. This is the first full-depth reconstruction of this runway since 1948, and will provide the much needed opportunity to repair infrastructure to keep the airport running safely.

The Buffalo Niagara International Airport generates approximately $1.7 billion in economic activity every year and employs about 12,000 residents.
