I Love My Park Day will be held in the Village of Williamsville on May 3, 2025. This is an event where volunteers gather at their local parks to clean up trash (no weeding) to help get the community’s greenspace ready for spring. This is a statewide effort organized by Parks & Trails NY, an organization within the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) for New York State.

We are asking the Parks Committee to work together to coordinate cleanup at Glen Park, Island Park, Garrison Park, South Long Park, Lehigh Valley Trail, and some streets in the Village. Specific ways to help include spreading the word, recruiting volunteers, taking pictures and of course – cleaning up trash at the parks! Village Hall and the DPW will provide the cleanup bags, but volunteers should bring gloves and wear shoes that can get messy.
