According to an Aug. 20, 2018, statement by a company spokesperson, Verizon has no plans to expand Fios TV availability in New York State.
After requesting information on the matter, the village was informed by Verizon that the company is focused on meeting its commitments to the municipalities with secured video franchise agreements. As such, television access via Fios will not be available in the village.
It is important for the public to know that the village not having access to Fios television was a decision made by Verizon representatives; it was not decided by Williamsville officials, as was rumored in the community.
