Village waterfront revitalization program underway

The Village of Williamsville in 2018 was awarded a grant totaling nearly $50,000 for the purposes of establishing a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program to enhance to the Ellicott Creek waterway and its nearest properties within the village.

The Village of Williamsville in March 2019 established the Waterfront Advisory Committee, a steering panel of residents and village officials that will be assisted in the LWRP process by a hired project manager and consultants from an engineering and architectural firm.

The committee has been charged with creating policies and proposing future projects that will assist in Ellicott Creek’s revitalization.

Meetings of the WAC are generally held monthly and are open for the public to attend and view the committee’s progress.

In October 2019, the committee held it’s first public information meeting to solicit community input.

Summaries from past meetings held by the Waterfront Advisory Committee are available below.

Due to issues associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Waterfront Advisory Committee postponed its meetings until January 2021. Meetings will be held via Zoom for the foreseeable future.
