Village waterfront revitalization program underway

The Village of Williamsville in 2018 was awarded a grant totaling nearly $50,000 for the purposes of establishing a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program to enhance to the Ellicott Creek waterway and its nearest properties within the village.

As of July 13, 2022, the LWRP is in its 60-day Department of State review period.

The Village of Williamsville in March 2019 established the Waterfront Advisory Committee, a steering panel of residents and village officials that will be assisted in the LWRP process by a hired project manager and consultants from an engineering and architectural firm.

The Waterfront Advisory Committee in the spring of 2021 completed its proposed project list and submitted the document to the Department of State for its review.

Due to issues associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Waterfront Advisory Committee postponed its meetings until January 2021.
